parkrun, a Free 5k Held Saturdays at Sippo Lake Park!
Friends of Stark Parks is proud to offer parkrun USA at Sippo Lake Park! Held every Saturday morning, parkrun is a free, weekly, volunteer-led timed 5k run. Staged at parks around the world, these 5k events are open to everyone – including walkers. Participants only need to register once, where they’ll receive a printed barcode, to participate in all races at Sippo Lake Park. Remember to bring your printed bar code to each event! A quick briefing will start each week’s event at 7:50 a.m. with the timed parkrun beginning at 8 a.m.
parkrun at Sippo Lake was the second parkrun location in Ohio and the 30th location in the United States.
The run will start each week at the Exploration Gateway, located at the north entrance of Sippo Lake Park. Parking is available in the lower lot and the 5k will begin near the shelter.
