Fall Fest Adventure: Trail Tale

Mowed Grass Trail

While our traditional Fall Fest event looks different this year, we know it’s important to come together and celebrate the season! This October, get outside with your family for a self-guided, on-your-own adventure with our Fall Fest Trail Tale! From Saturday, October 17 to Sunday, October 25, visit Petros Lake Park with your family to walk the trail. Signs along the path will tell a seasonally-inspired story. At the end of your hike, kids will receive a sweet treat daily from 12 to 6 p.m.

The Details

  • Petros Lake Park is located at 3519 Perry Dr. SW in Canton (Perry Twp) just across from the TimkenSteel Faircrest Steel Plant and just north of Faircrest St.
  • The Trail Tale takes places on the Hickory Trail (the usual Fall Fest “Treat Trail”) at Petros Lake Park. Use the north entrance to travel into the park and follow the signs to Woodland Shelter #1 on the right.
  • QR codes will be available on many of the Trail Tale signs. Be sure to scan each one with your phone camera to learn about fall animals as you hike and read the story.
  • Stark Parks staff members will be handing out candy to each child at the end of the trail each day between Oct. 17 and Oct. 25 from 12-6 p.m.
  • No registration is required.
