Iron Horse Trail Community Cleanup

Iron Horse Trail in Alliance

Calling all trail cleanup warriors! Volunteers are needed to help clean up a new section of the Iron Horse Trail in Alliance in the first stages of beautifying this community asset. On Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 9 a.m. to noon, Stark Parks, in partnership with the Regula Center for Public Service and Civic Engagement at the University of Mount Union, is hosting a group cleanup day on the newest portion of the trail.

Groups will work between Simpson St. and 11th St. and Oxford St. to E. Columbia St. to remove small and large trash from the banks along the future trail.

Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes or boots, and work gloves, and bring lots of energy! Lunch will be provided for all volunteers and raffle prizes will be awarded after the cleanup.

Parking is available at Giese Performing Arts Building (at the corner of Union Ave. and Simpson St.) and meet in the lobby outside Presser Recital Hall in the northeast corner of the building.
