Save the date, June 21, 2018, for a Summer Solstice soirée for wildlife! Join the Friends of Stark Parks for the fourth annual Wild Night for Wildlife: Summer Solstice Celebration held on the outdoor patio at the Exploration Gateway. Kick off the season of sunshine with dinner, drinks, live animals, and stunning views of Sippo Lake. Celebrate and support the work of the Wildlife Conservation Center as the sun sets on the longest day of the year.
Cocktail hour begins at 5:30 with dinner at 6:30 p.m. This evening will benefit the continued care of wildlife at the Joseph J. and Helen M. Sommer Wildlife Conservation Center. Support is needed to continue to provide quality wildlife care, education, and outdoor experiences. The center currently serves nearly 2,000 injured, orphaned, and ill native animals each year. The Canton Audubon Society will be recognized as the 2018 Honoree for their work to connect people with experiences and conversations about birding, habitat, land and water use, and environmental activities. Lee and Alan Dolan of Massillon will serve as the Honorary Chairs for the event.
The Exploration Gateway at Sippo Lake Park is located at 5712 12th St. NW in Canton.
