Evan Dean

Friends of Stark Parks Trustee
Evan Dean is Corporate Counsel for FirstEnergy Corp. in Akron, Ohio, and lives in Jackson Twp. with his wife and three children. Evan came to the board as a graduate of the 33rd Leadership Stark County Class. While not originally from Stark County, Evan has worked to become involved in the community through service on other boards, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, and coaching and organizing local youth sports.
Evan is a frequent visitor to Stark Parks and wants to support efforts to keep them open and beautiful. Evan brings legal and strategic skills to the volunteer board and has served on the Administrative Committee by recruiting, evaluating, and onboarding new board members.
As a running enthusiast, Evan spends most of his time at Sippo Lake Park and the Towpath Trail. Evan’s favorite activities to do in Stark Parks are to run on the trails and to visit animals at the Wildlife Conservation Center.
