Whitacre Greer Park is your Stark County destination for horseback riding! This park encompasses 500 acres reserved exclusively for equestrians. The rolling acreage features deciduous forests, farm fields, and a small pond at the entrance to the property. Fishing is not permitted.
The Stark and Carroll Chapters of the Ohio Horseman’s Council and the Tri-County Trail Association are assisting in trail development on the property located between Magnolia and Waynesburg.
The park is named for the Whitacre Greer Company.

Colby Trail
Trail Length: 3.2 Miles
This compacted soil and grass trail makes a large loop around a majority of the park.
Horseshoe Trail
Trail Length: 1.5 Miles
A grass/compact soil connector trail that extends from the parking lot and Colby Loop trail throughout the southwest corner of the park.

The Stark County Park District prohibits the use of motorized vehicles in this park and on its trails. Sections of trail may not be suitable for wheelchair access. Weather may impact the accessibility of trails, always use caution. Class 1 e-bikes are permitted to ride on multi-purpose trails (crushed limestone or asphalt). E-bikes are not permitted on natural surface, equestrian, or mountain bike trails. A class 1 e-bike is a bicycle equipped with fully operable pedals and an electric motor of less than 750 watts that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour.
