Sippo Lake Marina

Open Daily: Closed for Season

Located along the eastern shore of Sippo Lake, the Sippo Lake Marina is the perfect stop during a visit to the park.  Bring your own fishing pole or boat (up to 21 ft. and 10 hp) to enjoy the accessible fishing pier and boat ramp nearby. An adaptive kayak launch is available for launching kayaks or canoes.

A variety of snack foods and beverages are available for sale.

Fishing

The marina sells night crawlers.  Fishing licenses are not sold at this time, but we can offer other locations in the area or purchase online through ODNR with a credit or debit card.  Individuals over the age of 16 must carry a fishing license and picture ID to fish in the park.

Rental Boats

For your enjoyment, the Sippo Lake Marina offers a variety of watercraft for rent.  Canoes, single-person kayaks, tandem (2 person) kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and pedal boats are all part of the marina’s livery. Reservations are not needed for boat rentals as they are available on a first come, first served basis.

Rental fees are calculated by the half hour.  A driver’s license/ID and refundable deposit are required for all boat rentals.  All rented boats must be returned no later than one hour prior to the close of the marina. Boats returned late are subject to a late fee.

Tips for Your Excursion

• Wear sunscreen
• Bring a zip lock bag(s) to store wallets and other valuables that could be damaged by water.
• Do not leave valuable items loose inside a boat, canoe, or kayak.  Car keys and cell phones sink if they are not in a bag that will float.
• Stay hydrated
• Begin your excursion by rowing into the wind so it will be at your back when returning to the marina.
• In the event of thunder or lightning, no boats will be allowed on the water. All boats on the water must come to shore immediately.
