Measures to support digital accessibility
Stark Parks takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of the Stark Parks website:
- Provide accessibility training to Stark Parks staff.

Stark Parks is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Features of the website allow individuals with vision and other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as others.

Known limitations for the Stark Parks website:
- The upload image option in the Share Your Experience form may not be accessed by a keyboard. However, images can be shared through a direct email to information@starkparks.com or using social networks like Facebook or Instagram direct messaging option using the @starkparks handle.
- Third party applications may be used as links to complete registrations, reservations, trip planning or donations. While Stark Parks has inquired about known limitations during implementation, it is possible that new limitations will exist, and we will continue to work with the software application to address.
- An accessibility widget with various options and settings is present on the site, but adjustments may not be a universal solution for all situations.

Stark Parks assessed the accessibility of our website by the following approaches:
External Evaluation
This website has been checked by an IAAP-certified professional. The website was evaluated against the WCAG 2.2 AA standards using a variety of tools to identify accessibility barriers. The evaluation ensured that users who rely on assistive technology and alternative input methods (such as screen readers, high contrast modes, magnification software, keyboard-only interaction, alternative keyboards, braille displays, speech input, multimedia alternatives such as captions and audio descriptions, custom text and style sheets, and other similar technologies and input modalities), shared the same, or as close to the same experience as those not using assistive technologies or alternative input methods.
Self-evaluation
This website has been checked using a variety of tools to determine accessibility barriers. These tools included:
- NVDA Screen Reader.
- Built-in browser screen readers including Safari and Google Chrome.
- Contrast and content tools to check for contrast levels, keyboard order and functionality.
