Sandy Valley Trail

Leaves in fall season covering trail and woods on left and rightEnjoy a stroll down a flat and shady trail through the Village of Waynesburg.

A section for hiking and biking travels around the Waynesburg Village Park Loop Trail with a playground, picnic shelter, and basketball court next to the parking area.  It then continues across Rt. 183 and travels .76 mile on a limestone trail from West St. to Greer St. following the former railroad route.  The Maple St. Trailhead has parking for equestrian trailers and cars.  Equestrian access begins at Maple St. and heads east over Greer Ave.   The total trail mileage is 2.60 miles.  Hiking is also permitted on this natural surface portion.  Biking is not permitted east of Greer Ave. at this time.  Please do not travel further than the gate.

Dogs welcome! Just remember that dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners must dispose of pet waste properly.  The Sandy Valley Trail has been adopted by Boy Scout Troop 157.  The group sponsors cleanup projects along the trail throughout the year.
