Horseback Riding
Use the elevated view, courtesy of your equine partner, to appreciate the surrounding beauty on a variety of trails and parks. Trail berms are designated with signage on shared trails.
Horses are permitted, but no trailer parking is available:
- Iron Horse - Beechwood South to Cenfield
- Nickel Plate Trail
- Plain Center Trail (portion of Middle Branch Trail)
Horses are permitted, and trailer parking is available at specified locations; please walk horses across bridges:
- Congressman Ralph Regula Towpath Trail - Canal Bend Trailhead going North to John Glenn Grove Trailhead
- Deer Creek Reservoir
- Mahoning Valley Trail
- Olde Muskingum Trail
- Pike Ridge Park
- Quail Hollow Park
- Sandy Valley Trail
- Sippo Valley Trail (outside city limits)
- Walborn Reservoir
Horses are not available to rent at any parks or trails. Stallions are not permitted.
