Boating Regulations
Boats permitted on Sippo Lake shall not exceed a manufacturer hull length of 21 feet and 25 feet on Walborn or Deer Creek Reservoirs.
All boats are required to display current Ohio boating license sticker and Ohio License number. No registration fee is required to launch a private boat, however all state and local rules governing boats must be observed.
All boats (motorized and non-motorized) operated after dark are required to be equipped with the correct navigation lights according the Ohio Boat Operator's Guide.
All private boats are required to have necessary safety equipment including personal flotation devices (PFDs). Fire extinguishers are required on boats with closed compartments for gasoline motors regardless of whether or not the motor is being used.
By Ohio law, children under the age of 10 are required to wear a PFD while on a watercraft under 18 ft. in length. All persons using Stark County Park District boats must wear a PFD, regardless of age.
No swimming is permitted in any Stark County Park District lake or waterway.
No alcoholic beverages permitted.
All personal boats must be off the lakes 30 minutes before park closing.
No person born on or after January 1, 1982, shall operate a powercraft powered by more than 10 horsepower unless the operator has received a certificate for successful completion of an approved boater education course.
